Phyllis Marie Aarhus, 93, was born January 11, 1930 in Warroad, MN. She fell asleep in death July 22, 2023 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia of Grand Forks, ND.

She is the daughter of the late Philip and Helen (Hipsher) Hardy. On November 23, 1950, she married James Aarhus in East Grand Forks, MN. Phyllis held several jobs through the years and also worked along with her husband in his small construction business and helped in the building of their home. She had a "Green Thumb" when gardening and growing flowers. She also enjoyed watching the animals that made her yard their home. Reading was also something she enjoyed. Educating herself about her health issues was important to her along with her reading of the Bible to learn about the hope for our future that the Bible holds out.

She also leaves behind special friends Armella Nelson and Judy Hurst

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Hardy, Willard Hardy, Willis Hardy, John Hardy, Donald Haines and a sister Bernice.

The Aarhus family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her team of caregivers at Valley Senior Living on Columbia and Hospice of the Red River Valley for the wonderful care.
