Reyes D. Bustamante, Sr., 71, of Grand Forks, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Altru Hospital.

Reyes Delacruz Bustamante was born August 6, 1952 in Crystal City, TX to Zaragosa and Miquila (Delacruz) Bustamante. He grew up in Crystal City before moving to East Grand Forks. Reyes was a truck driver for many companies, most recently Gowan Construction.

He is survived by his children, Marisa Bustamante of East Grand Forks, Crystal Cadena of Grand Forks, and Reyes Bustamante, Jr. of Grand Forks; sisters, Irma Torres of Grafton, Amelia Cardenas and Clementina Cabello both of Crystal City, TX; grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Bobby Jo Hernandez and his daughters, Mayella and Aubreanna, Dana Gonzales and her sons, Ethan, Carson, and Levi, Reyes Bustamante, III, Cassidy Bustamante, and Corissa Sam and her children, Noah, Amelia, Jaclee, and Isiah; and former wife, Lydia H. Mata.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 5:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721

VISITATION: One hour prior to service at the funeral home on Saturday.
