Robert C. Peterson, 68, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home under the care of Hospice.

Robert Clayton, the son of Ernest and Ann (Jacobsen) Peterson, was born on November 8, 1951, in Fordville, ND. He grew up in Fordville and graduated with the class of 1970. Shortly thereafter, Bob moved to Grand Forks, ND.

On June 9, 1973 Bob was united in marriage to Sandra Brueckner in Niagara, ND. They made their home in Grand Forks where Bob was employed with the

City of Grand Forks Water Treatment Facility.   He worked in water treatment for over 30 years until his retirement.

Bob loved to hunt, both bow and rifle seasons. As a gun collector, he spent hours reloading ammunition and sighting in his guns. He enjoyed listening to all types of music, watching "Da"

Bears, or hunting for something special for himself or a loved one at a rummage sale. Becoming "Papa" to his three grandchildren was truly a highlight of his life. Bob was a    quiet and private man who cherished the time he spent with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sandy of Grand Forks; two children: Shane Peterson of Grand Forks and Nichole (Sam) Storkson of Prior Lakes, MN; his sister, Karen Useldinger of Prior Lake, MN; and three grandchildren: Sonny, Scout, and Selah.

Preceding Bob in death is his parents and his brother, Arlen "Sonny" Peterson.

Funeral Service: A private family service will be held. The family prefers that memorials be given to the East Grand Forks Rod and Gun Club to be used in the Youth Program.
