Robert "Bert" Eggen died unexpectedly at his home on January 23rd in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 69.

Robert was born on January 20, 1949 in Warren, MN, to Rudolph and Doris (Anderson) Eggen. He graduated from Oslo High School and married Linda Stadstad, his high school sweetheart on October 30, 1970. They made their home in Oslo where they spent their lives farming. Robert was lucky enough to have 2 great loves in his life. After 39 years of marriage, he lost Linda to cancer in 2010. He again found love with Faye Conzo and enjoyed spending his days with her. They had planned a long future together that was tragically cut short. Robert spent his life being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a hardworking man that would do anything for a friend in need. He was loved by all that met him and will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his fiancée Faye Conzo of Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Sheila (Chris) Conzo of Grand Forks, ND; son, Ryan Eggen of Oslo, MN; sisters, Donna Kraus of Grand Forks, ND; Ruby Cherry of Greenville, NC; and Carol Duffy of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Jordyn and Raylan, as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda, and parents, Rudy and Doris.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation: One Hour Prior Funeral Service on Saturday in Dahl Funeral Home.

Interment: Konsvinger Lutheran Cemetery ~ Oslo, MN in the spring.
