Robert A. "Robbie" Vonasek, 66, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home from natural causes.

Robbie was born on September 26, 1954 to Carl and Helen (Thompson) Vonasek in Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School in 1972. He then attended the Vocational Tech School in East Grand Forks where he received his welding certificate. Robbie worked many years for Jeffrey Farms and American Crystal Sugar and later worked for the American Legion until retiring.

Robbie was a member of the Sons of the American Legion where he volunteered for various projects, including placing flags at cemeteries for Memorial Day. He was a loyal brother and friend, talented mechanic, hard worker, and a loving provider to his mother.

Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Richard and Thomas.

Robbie is survived by two brothers, Steve (Elaine) of East Grand Forks, and Dan of Grand Forks; 8 nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews.
