Ronald "Ronnie" Jensen, 57, of Grand Forks, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Valley Senior Living with his family by his side.

Ronald Eric Jensen was born May 19, 1965 in Grand Forks, ND to Wallace Waldo Jensen and Diane Volden. He was a life-long resident of Grand Forks and attended the North Dakota State School for the Blind. Ronnie lived in a Development Homes group home until he recently transitioned to Valley Senior Living, Woodside Village. In both homes, Ronnie was readily welcomed and became part of their families.

Although he was born with serious challenges, he enjoyed life to the fullest.  Ronnie loved outdoor activities, field trips, light-gazing in the sun, riding in cars and boats, cookies, pizza, and Diet Coke. He loved visits from his family while holding hands.

Ronnie's purpose in life was to teach kindness. He taught everyone how to be in the present and communicate through touch with no judgements, biases or prejudices. Ronnie touched lives by inspiring others to advocate for inclusion, feel a sense of acceptance, and celebrate all abilities.

He is survived by his mom Diane Volden of Grand Forks, step-dad Tom Irwin of Grand Forks; seven siblings, Linda Knudson of Fargo, Lorelle (David) Smith of Granger, IN, Corinne (Mark) Johnson of Grand Forks, Traci (Bart) Nelson of Grand Forks, Dusty (Marti) Jensen of Fargo, Patti (Paul) Schmidt of Selma, TX, and Jessica Irwin (Joe Alianiello) of State College, PA; step-brothers Rob (Robin) Volden, Craig (Andrea) Volden, and Tom (Kristin) Volden; ten nieces, Lisa, Katie, Ashley, Samantha, Megan, Breann, Alexandra, Madelyn, Jensen, and Maia; six nephews, Michael, Joe, Austin, Jake, Dylan, and Aidan; and several great nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his dad Wally, sister Sharon Jensen, and brother Wallace Waldo "Echo" Jensen, and step-father Ron Volden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Valley Senior Living.
