East Grand Forks,

Obituary

Sandra Marie Agas, 73, of East Grand Forks, entered into eternal rest at Valley Senior Living on Columbia, in Grand Forks, ND, Saturday, August 1, 2020 with her daughter at her side.

Sandra Marie Enright was born March, 15, 1947 in Grand Forks, ND to Jerome L and Darlyne (Wehe) Enright. The family moved to Long Beach, CA where she grew up. She graduated from St. Anthony's in 1965. Sandy often shared so many wonderful memories of days spent at the beach, Disney Land, and precious time spent with close friends. Later in life when Sandy kept her circle small, those friendships remained so important to her.

In 1977, she relocated back to East Grand Forks where she raised her family. Her family and her faith were cornerstones in her life. She was a proud and doting mother. She spent hours bringing her children to practices, watching them perform, and helping out with school activities. She enjoyed visits with her grandchildren (aka the demolition crew) and the simple things in life like crafting, puzzles, and flowers. Her Catholic faith was extremely important to her. She attended mass every Sunday and holy day until she was physically unable to. She also attended a weekly, middle-of-the-night adoration at St. Anne's Guesthome for a number of years. Her prayer book and rosary were never more than an arm's reach away.

Survivors include her son Donald J. (Kirsten) Agas of Fargo; daughter Holly M. (Darcy) Gertz of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren Jayden and Mason Gertz, and Atticus Agas; sister Cynthia (Leo) Anderson of Roseville, MN; and brother Jim (Jane) Enright of Grand Forks.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Darlyne Enright.

Special thanks to all the special people who helped take such good care of Sandy the last few years including the staff of the Good Samaritan Society in East Grand Forks, and Valley Senior Living and Altru Hospice in Grand Forks. Memorials in Sandy's name may be shared with those organizations. Sandy would have also loved to see puzzles or adult coloring materials donated to a local nursing home in her memory.
