Scott Alan Jordheim, age 53 passed away on October 29, 2023 at his home after a long battle with mental and physical health issues.

Scott grew up in Grand Forks, ND.  After high school he attended Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN, receiving a degree in law enforcement.  On September 24, 1992 he joined the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Camden in Bremerton, WA.  Scott served on oversea missions, earning numerous commendations including the Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star.  After his honorable discharge on September 23, 1994, Scott returned to North Dakota, and became a Sheriff's Deputy for Richland County, ND.  On January 16, 1998 he began working as a Patrolman for the City of East Grand Forks, MN, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant, and after 18 years he retired on April 19, 2016

Scott's dedication to his 24 years of public and military service is commendable.  The discipline and patriotism he learned in the U.S. Navy and as a law enforcement officer never left him, as family and friends will attest.  Scott will be missed by those who knew him.

Scott is survived by his three children, Jason Jordheim and his mother Mary of Sioux Falls, SD, Hailey and Hunter and their mother Dyan of East Grand Forks, MN; mother and stepfather, Sara and Kevin Spicer of East Grand Forks, MN; father, Alan Jordheim (Linda Hart) of Larimore, ND; brother, Jeffrey Jordheim of East Grand Forks, MN and stepbrother, Michael Spicer of Harvey, ND; five nieces, Kelsey, Kassidy, Kora, Grace and Geena and their mother Cara Jordheim.  He also leaves behind other close friends and relatives and his special dog, Cassi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Funeral Service: 11:30 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1515 5th Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation:  10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on Friday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Interment:  Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND
