Obituary

Sharon Faye Brundin passed away on February 25th, 2023, at the age of 78 at her home in East Grand Forks, surrounded by loved ones.

Sharon was born on June 19th, 1944 at home in Gully, MN to her loving parents Lillie & Joseph Espeseth. She attended Fosston High School and later AVTI (Northern Technical College.) She went on to work as a pharmacy technician at Deaconess Hospital until the mid 1960's before working for the University of North Dakota from 1975-1995. She worked as a server for the Flickertail restaurant and then as a secretary for the University of North Dakota International Center.

Sharon married the love of her life, Roger Brundin, on December 27th, 1978. Roger helped raise and love the children alongside Sharon as his own. Sharon had a short retirement to enjoy her grandchildren, and then went back to work at the East Grand Forks Public Schools from 2004-2014.

Sharon was young at heart, full of life, laughter, joy and love. She had a natural gift to love unconditionally, and her warm, loving nature was felt by everyone, especially her children and grandchildren. One thing she carried close was her faith, which rooted her in love and family. She wanted everyone to know that they were loved and cherished. Whenever the family leaves the house we always hug and say "I love you," and we carry that tradition on. Sharon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed greatly by her family and close friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Joseph; and sister-in-law, Sheryl Espeseth.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Roger Brundin; her children: Kim (Jerry) Mathiason, Michelle Brundin, and Dawn Brundin all of East Grand Forks, MN, and Jason (Kristi) Brundin of Buffalo, MN; 14 grandchildren: Zach (Brenna) Mathiason of Grand Forks, ND, Syn Mathiason of St. Paul, MN, Jared (Cadee) Mathason and Lily Brundin of Grand Forks, ND, Teah Brundin of East Grand Forks, MN, Dane Anderson of Minneapolis, MN, Grant Rothenberger of Camp Pendleton, Lila and Eva Rothenberger of East Grand Forks, MN, Joey and Macey Brundin of St. Paul, MN, Riley, Ashley and Carson Pfau of Buffalo, MN; great-grandchildren: Maddox Mesteth, Harlee Sears, and Lucas Mathiason; brothers: Duane (Hope) Espeseth, Ellsworth (Sharon), Rodger Espeseth of St. Paul and Gerald (Janet) Espeseth; and many nieces & nephews.
