Shelley Rose Garcia, 66, of East Grand Forks passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home.

Shelley Rose Basol was born September 26, 1953 in Hillsboro, ND. She married Ben Garcia August 20, 1973 in South Dakota. Together they traveled and lived in many places around the US before settling in East Grand Forks, MN where they made their home. She was a CNA and Med Aid and retired from Valley Senior Living on Columbia in November of 2019 after over 20 years of employment.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Ben Garcia of East Grand Forks; children Bobby Garcia of Boulder, CO, Beata (Manuel) Delgado of Grand Forks, and Sam Garcia of Grand Forks; step-children, Paul (Kris & Kasie), Cynthia (April, Astara, & Adora), Nathan (Nathan), Patricia (Nanika, Theodore Jr, Lito, Shea, Kyle, Sonyanita & Santiago), Diana (Anthony & Emily), Bonita (Adelita & Lydia), Sonya (Selina, Sasha & Iliji) and Blanca (Gerry, Biko & Cre); brothers Michael (Lori) Olson of Sabin, MN and Steve Basol of Fargo, ND; sisters Lori (Terry) Tobin of AZ; and 7 beloved grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Isaac, MaryJane, Shelby, Cameren, and Paisley.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and Norman Basol, sister MaryAnn Basol, and a sister-in-law Mary Jo Basol.
