We are sad to announce, Tamara Jo Hammargren "Tam", 53, passed away with family by her side on August 5th, 2022, at Altru hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Tamara was born January 18th, 1969, in Cambridge, MN, to Floyd and Sharon (Wilson) Hammargren. She grew up and graduated in East Grand Forks. Tamara was great at all things, including: card and dice games, arts and crafts, being an entrepreneur of many sorts, and making something out of nothing. Being a stubborn smart ass was her forte.

Tamara had multiple jobs/side hustles she loved throughout her life such as:  motel housekeeper, McDonald's, cleaning houses on the side, American Crystal Sugar for many years, and all around jack of all trades.

She had a great passion for her 3 children, Domenique, DelaRae and Trenton, 2 grandkids, Tyr and Jackson, and loving mother, Sharon. Always putting others before herself, Tamara, would make sure her 3 kids were happy, healthy, and safe. She had a contagious cackle that would fill rooms, one that will be dearly missed.

Tamara is survived by her mother, Sharon Hammargren of Grand Forks, ND; 2 brothers, Trace (Pam) Hammargren of Grand Forks, ND and Troy (Laura) Hammargren of East Grand Forks, MN; 1 sister, T (Jeff) Durbin of Crookston, MN; half-sister, Melissa Irwin (Jeff) of Elk River, MN; 2 daughters, Domenique Hammargren of Bismarck, ND and DelaRae Hammargren of Fargo, ND; 1 son, Trenton Tibiatowski of Bozeman, MT; 2 grandchildren, Tyr Hammargren and Jackson Leithold of Bismarck, ND; partner in crime, Danny Gonzales and their furry four legged son, Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Tyrone (Tye) Hammargren; father, Floyd Hammargren; grandparents, Myrtle (Arnold) Wilson and Gilbert (Evelyn) Hammargren; and loved ones, Terry Tibiatowski and Kevin Gerardy.

Donations may be made to Lighthouse Church (21 9th St. S. Fargo, ND 58103), where Tamara was seeking mental health and addiction services.

VISITATION: 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Dahl Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Dahl Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN, with Pastor Paul Trenne officiating.
