Tara K. Poeltl, née Kelley, passed away on September 11, 2026, at her home in Grand Forks, North Dakota, surrounded by family. She was 56.
Tara Kelley was born August 2, 1970 in Saginaw, MI. She grew up and attended school there until her family relocated to Florida when she was seventeen. One of the accomplishments closest to her, was the care and fostering of children and it remained an important part of how she expressed herself in the world. She also had a special place in her heart for dogs especially her two beloved Shih-Tzus Zoey and Holly.
Tara will be lovingly remembered by her husband Louis Poeltl of Grand Forks, ND; son Brandon Madeline of Queens, NY; daughter Caitlyn LoPresti of Jacksonville, FL; mom Jackie (Rick) Hendricks of Deltona, FL; dad Mike Schultz of London, Ontario; brother Jake Schultz of Longwood, FL; auntie Wendy Skippers; along with all who were touched by her humor, openness, and strong sense of self.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncle Tom Troutwine.
