Timothy Laverne Stevenson, of East Grand Forks, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. He was 67.

Tim was born December 17, 1954, in Canyonville, OR to the late Harold and Anna (Gillis) Stevenson. The family moved to East Grand Forks, MN, where he grew up and graduated from EGF Senior High School in 1973. On November 20, 1976, he married Sheila Filipi in Tabor, MN. Together they made their home in East Grand Forks and raised three sons: Chad, Shane, and Brady. People who knew him well would tell you that what Tim valued most were family, friends and hard work. He grew up working on the family farm and driving truck for local farmers. From 1996 until the present Tim and Sheila owned Salon East in East Grand Forks. Tim worked at Residual Materials, Inc for 38 years. He was proud of his 100% Icelandic heritage and even more proud of the family he leaves. His idea of what to do with non-work time included growing a huge garden, baling hay, but most importantly was spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sheila Stevenson; sons Chad Stevenson (Matt Buckley) of Bloomington, MN, Shane (Brittany) Stevenson of Portland, ND, and Brady (Tara) Stevenson of East Grand Forks; three grandchildren Hadlee, Briggs, and Wyatt; sisters Susan Zukowski of Grand Forks, Cynthia Stevenson of Burnsville, MN,  Karen Fodness of Bemidji, MN, brother Kenneth (Tammy) Stevenson of East Grand Forks; mother and father-in-law Jeanette and Tony Filipi; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Mark Fodness.

Tim's family would like to offer their heart-felt thanks to Dr. Potti and the entire staff at the Cancer Center of North Dakota and Dr. Rabadi and his staff for the wonderful care he received.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hope Foundation Cancer Center of ND or Bethany Lutheran Church.
