It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Tony E. Telken passed away too soon at the age of 56 on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND due to complications with Covid.
Tony Ernest Telken was born on November 24, 1965 in Jamestown, ND to James and Freda (Benson) Telken. Tony grew up in Jamestown where he attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School with the Class of 1984. He attended the University of North Dakota and graduated in 1989 with a degree in business. He then married Jodi Buchner and through this union two amazing children were born. He has worked at Scheels, Hanson Ford, Rydell's and was currently employed with Lithia Ford Lincoln in Grand Forks at the time of his death. On March 1, 2018 he was united in marriage at Sandals South Coast in Jamaica, to the love of his life, Tracy Hulse, whom he called his puzzle piece. They were inseparable, loving to spend every spare moment together, truly enjoying each others company.
Tony was an amazing man, loved by all that knew him. He is remembered by his beautiful and genuine smile. He was all about having fun, being a very social person and instantly making friends with anyone he crossed paths with. In his recent years, he loved hosting as well as going to events, golfing and sharing a love for travel with Tracy. He was devoted to his family, and truly loved being "Papa", delivering unlimited cheek grinders for all. He also had a passion and pride for UND that was immeasurable. He had a huge philanthropic heart. Tony was dedicated to Grand Forks and was very involved in the community serving on several boards. Tony also was very proud to be a Mason, reaching the ultimate by being elected and serving as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of North Dakota 2015-2016
