Vicky Hallock , age 68, of Grand Forks, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta, ND.

Vicky Lynn Ostmo was born on June 28, 1956 at Camp Pendleton in California to parents, Elvin II and Shelby (Riereson) Ostmo.

Vicky worked as a CNA and held many other jobs. Her favorite job was working for Sears selling maintenance agreements. Vicky had the gift of gab – she was very friendly and would start a conversation with anyone. She was respectful of everyone of all backgrounds as long as you treated her the same. Vicky liked to go grab coffee with her friends and was always ready for a smoke and a chat. She was a highly intelligent person who loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.

Vicky had a green thumb. She loved gardening, planting flowers, growing vegetables and caring for her houseplants.  Vicky was a huge reader and had a large collection of books in all genres. She also loved music and loved to dance whether she was out with her friends or just dancing around the kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin II & Shelby Ostmo; and sisters, Dawn Swann and Toni Ostmo.

Vicky is survived by her children, Christian Ostmo and Jennifer Mickels; grandchildren, Xavier Mickels and Astrid Stevens; siblings, Tammy Adkins, Monica Collette, Al Ostmo, Monique Stahlman, and Skyeler Page; many nieces & nephews; and best friend, Robyn Gaulke.
