William "Billy" Feist, 80, of Grand Forks, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Valley Senior Living.

William George Feist was born September 15, 1940 in Grand Forks, ND to the late Adam and Ruby (Gaylord) Feist.  He grew up in Grand Forks and on June 30,1959 married the love of his life Jeannie Keiser in Grand Forks where they made their home. He worked in maintenance for the YMCA for over 30 years until his retirement. Billy also volunteered for the Dakota Dive water rescue and enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, racquetball, handball, and anything outdoors. Sadly Jeannie passed away in 2012.

Survivors include daughters Kathy Feist of Grand Forks and Mary Ann Feist, Yuma, AZ; 5 grandchildren Amanda Green, Sheyanne Feist, Kendall Feist, Randall Feist, and Krystal Feist; 12 great-grandchildren Lilly Elyea, Joshua Elyea, Levi Elyea, Jason Feist, Madison Borgen, Kloey Borgen, Mason Cruz, Ethan Gardiner, Jazzlee Feist, Kaycee Feist, Johnny Meyers, and Tanner Meyers; sister Elizabeth Feist and brother Adam Feist both of Adams, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife Jeannie, parents Adam and Ruby Feist, sons Danny and Roy Feist, and brother Jerry Feist.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to Valley Senior Living Foundation.
