William Szymanski, 80, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

William Frederick Szymanski was born October 2, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI, where he grew up and attended school until joining the US Air Force. He got stationed in Duluth, MN where he met the love of his life, Charlotte Swansen. They were married in Duluth on Feb. 3, 1967 and they were blessed with two sons, John and Paul. After being transferred to the Grand Forks Air Force Base, they made their home in East Grand Forks. After retiring, Bill worked various jobs until becoming a custodian for the Grand Forks Public Schools until his second retirement.

Bill is survived by his sons John Szymanski of East Grand Forks, Paul (Sharon) Szymanski; grandchildren Thomas Szymanski, Londan (Nick) Hauer, Ireland (Cullen) Raasch, and Tyler Szymanski; and great-grandchildren Dallas Raasch and Wrenley Hauer all of Hutchinson, MN; and brother-in-law Jeff Swansen of Duluth, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte in 2013, parents and several brothers and sisters.
